Family of 5 seeking self-discovery and looking to always improve as human beings.

We went to Magnetic Island to have a bit of a break from caravaning and you would ask: already? Well, there's more to it, but for now that's all you need to know :D

Ferry transfer: $206 return for the car only
Trailer Parking in Townsville: $25 for 2 nights
AirBnb Accommodation: $262 for 2 nights

We stayed in a really nice home through AirBnb, we were super well received from the host in their lovely home with plenty of space for the kids to play around, including 3 really friendly dogs which the kids had a ball playing with. It was also really well located in Nelly Bay, close to shops and to where the ferry landed.

The ferry to the island was really quick, it took just about 30 minutes and we were there. You can pretty much go everywhere with a normal car, apart from Radical Bay which the road is pretty rough.

If you're not driving, you can also take the bus, it would cost $5 dollars and you can hop on and off as many times as you want around the island.

We did a few walks around the island, went kayaking at Cockle Bay where there's a ship wrack which was pretty cool.

And one of the coolest walks we did was the Forts which is about 4km return from the car park, it's not too hard of a walk but it was a bit long for the kids, we had to have a lot of patience especially on the way down. When you do get to the top, the view is absolutely amazing and it's well worth it.
